In New South Wales (NSW), 450mm traffic cones are typically used in roadwork zones or for temporary traffic control. These cones are a common size for marking areas for hazards, or no go zones, and they are designed to be visible to drivers to ensure safety. 

Also can be used to hold signs using the TD1 bracket which is place atop of the cone.  The 700mm size allows for use on all roads up to 80km.hr speeds and the reflective band (TfNSW specification ) allows it to be used both day and NIGHT works.
